I have a question about the “Monday easter”. Why does it exist here in Australia? What is the point?
Hehehe glad you found it! The first Europeans here were Christians, I guess.
But I didn’t get what it is celebrated on Monday…
Once I’ve heard about a minimal public holiday granted by law, then they decided that the Monday after Easter would be one. Is that correct?
Makes sense for me and so is helpful as it is a family gathering’s holiday, people often travel to meet their relatives, it gives one day more and this holiday becomes longer.
Hehe yeah I’m not quite sure. I think it’s just that they want to give people a long weekend. So we normally have four days off. But to be honest, I’m not 100% sure.
